Interview mit Yogi Amandeep Singh

Yogi Amandeep Singh talks about Jap Ji, from the Big Bang to Your Own "Space"!

“Don’t miss this! In this lifetime” The journey of sound starts with the big bang, which the ancient yogic texts refer to as blooming of the primal lotus. As the lotus bloomed, it gave birth to the sound of Ongkaar – the sound of creation and expansion.

This primal sound further expanded into 108 small mother sounds which are referred to as “Matrikas”, in the Tantrik Tradition. 54 among them are the sounds of Sresti – Creation or all the vibrations that can come into existence and 54 among them are the sounds of Laya –Dissolving or all the vibrations that can go out of existence.

These sounds form the fundamental principles of all the ancient yogic sciences based in Mantra, Tantra and Yantra. The 35 letters of the Gurmukhi Script that is used in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib is the perfect essence of all these 108 sounds put together. All That Is, is contained in these 35 sounds which flowed from the mouth of Guru - the enlightened one.

Because they flowed through the mouth of the enlightened one, they became illuminated, enlightenment entered into them. With all their rhythm, structure, ascends and descends, every sound in itself is divine. When one reads or writes Gurmukhi, one too catches this illumination. The structures of these words are like liquid. They are flowing like the sacred Ganges, allowing many meanings. They have multidimensional qualities to them.

According to the science of Shabad Yoga, all languages contain sounds which relate to one or more of the five elements of ether, air, fire, water, and earth. Gurmukhi is a perfect combination and permutation of sounds relating to all the five elements in complete balance known as Naad in yogic terminology. By just chanting these sounds we balance the elemental energies within us.

When Guru Arjan Dev, the fifth Guru, compiled Siri Guru Granth Sahib in 1604, he only put in those Banis which were in this perfect balance. Jap ji – Meditation of the Self is the first Bani in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. This divine song was revealed to Guru Naanak, the first Guru. It is seen as the essence of the whole message in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. It contains a language of a totally different caliber. If you can understand this song, it something will start singing in you, something will start flowering in you. All that is needed is openness, receptivity, so that this song can trigger the dormant energy in your being.

Within the recitation of Jap Ji, there are beautiful gaps that are portals to Shuniya. If you can catch those gaps, you can enter into the unknown. In the words of Siri Singh Sahib Yogi Bhajan, “If you want to know the science of Infinity, you have to understand Jap Ji.”
He further says, “The whole language of Gurbani has the power to make a person divine, just in its recitation, if done correctly.”

Within the method of recitation lies the whole mystery of Gurbani. According to the science of Gurbani the emphasis is more on the sound than on the word. The ascents and descents of the sound and the lengths of soundless intervals in its recitation lies the whole mystery.

This exact science of right pronunciation or “Shudh Ucharan” has been handed down in the oral traditions started by the Guru. In the past it was insisted that this knowledge only be passed on by word of mouth in an Oral Tradition, without which the subtle sensations associated with the sound would be lost.

Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Guru towards the later part of his life, gave this transmission of “Shudh Ucharan” to 42 of his very close disciples. Receiving this transmission, they went into Maha Samadhi, but the Guru kept 2 of them in this earthly realm so that they could teach this extraordinary technology to following generations. They were Baba Deep Singh and Bhai Mani Singh.

Through these Sages, 2 schools or Taksals were born, which took the responsibility of handing down this exact technology from teacher to student for the past 300 years. With the blessings and guidance of Siri Singh Sahib, Yogi Bhajan, this transmission of “Shudh Ucharan”, would be made available through the internet & the “Ether Net” right into your living spaces.

Having attained this transmission myself from the great sages and yogis, it’s an order from the master, Siri Singh Sahib Yogi Bhajan to share this with others who are seeking.

If you are a seeker, then this is for you. We would start our journey, with the Mystical Dimension of the Gurmukhi Script, where I would share never heard before information on this Gurmukhi from a yogic perspective. Then we would learn to read and write and illuminate our minds with rare meditations from the Udasi and Nirmala Traditions. Finally having equipped ourselves with all the wisdom we would enter the Divine Realm of Jap Ji, and learn the right pronunciation as taught through the oral tradition.

It’s a lifetime opportunity, I would say, “Don’t miss this! In this lifetime”
